Feb Feels Playlist

February was an interesting month. If I can sum up the month of February I can say it was an eye opening month. It was a great month of growth but also a month of honesty and boundaries. I really came to understand who and what was important to focus on in my self growth and cut out all of the rest. My February Feels playlist got me through the hustle and bustle of managing my priorities and also got me through my self-realization. A few highlights and favorites in this playlist is Janelle Monae’s powerful “Jango Lane” single which became my black girl magic anthem and also Amber Olivier who brings me back to that old-school R&B sound. If you’ve been keeping up with my playlists for a while you’ll probably even realize by now that I generally listen to very chill, laid back, and vibey tunes. If you are generally interested in the same type of music then stay tuned for the end of each month and my playlist recap.

Feel free to comment down below with the songs that you’ve loved and recommendations for my next playlist!

A Love Letter

February 15, 2018 by cnkstylebook No Comments
Comfort

Do you ever feel sometimes like you can’t get up another day and do another thing? Do you feel mentally and creatively blocked and all you want to do is go to sleep? If this is you and you’ve said yes to both of these questions then maybe it is time to disconnect and reconnect.

In this season of love it’s usually the time where we remember to share and express appreciation for our loved ones but it may also be a good time to express love to your self. If you’re like me you will always want to be working on something or doing something that can push you towards your end goals. You will always want to be thinking of the next big thing or the next project. If you are always going, going, going, YOU WILL burn out if you don’t take time to love yourself. Appreciate the hard work you have done, appreciate the projects you have completed, admire your work ethic and simply disconnect.

Take a day or a weekend and schedule out your week in advance so that for the week and the weekend you can completely take stock of your self-care. Pamper yourself and get a facial or a massage, watch your favorite TV shows or go see the latest Black Panther movie coming out on February 16th, get immersed in a book, sleep and completely disconnect from social media and focus on relaxed and fun activities. Recharge and restore your mind and your body because burnout is real and you will never be able to perform optimally and be the best version of yourself if you forget about yourself.

Comment down below if you relate with this feeling!

About me

Hello, My Name is Comfort and I am a blogger living in NJ.

This is a hub where fashion, motivation, and women of color can meet to inspire, support and motivate each other towards success.

I will post weekly look books, highlight businesses owned by women of color and offer any lessons and motivation I have learned along the way.

I am not an expert but I think there is beauty in the process and I feel like more people should hear about the journey.
