Top Style Innovators You Should Follow

February 6, 2018 by cnkstylebook No Comments

The difference between fashion and style is that you can follow the trends but trends come and go in seasons while style sticks. A sense of style is really more intuitive and personal because essentially your sense of style comes from you figuring out what works for you and how you want to present yourself in the world. It essentially speaks for itself and as soon as you step into the room everyone can recognize that it is your look. Your sense of style becomes so ingrained into your brand that if anyone else takes any aspect of your style then it is easily recognized as your brand and your style.

There are very few people who have such an iconic look that is just there’s but here are 3 influencers who have claimed their groove.

SZA

SZA has definitely claimed her signature look with her long, full, natural hair, iconically styled with two full ponytails in the front of her head and full flowing hair in the back. SZA’s style is also inspired by the 90s with her her oversized and loose fitted clothes with funky accessories.

Solange

Solange is an artist in every word and her style reflects her artistry. Her style is so uniquely Solange that no one can fully claim her look. She plays around with monochrome looks, 60’s and 70’s influences, and loose clothing that has movement. Solange also doesn’t stick to the same hairstyle but may have big Diana Ross hair one and then braids the next day. Solange’s style reflects her fun personality and her artistry.

Kahlana Barfield Brown

Kahlana Barfield is Instyle’s Beauty Editor and she continually serves looks that are effortlessly her own. Her style which is reminiscent of her confident, cool vibe fits as she is usually seen pairing different combinations of loose fitted tops and bottoms. She has also mastered the structured unstructured look and she is not afraid to play with vibrant colors and shapes.

About me

Hello, My Name is Comfort and I am a blogger living in NJ.

This is a hub where fashion, motivation, and women of color can meet to inspire, support and motivate each other towards success.

I will post weekly look books, highlight businesses owned by women of color and offer any lessons and motivation I have learned along the way.

I am not an expert but I think there is beauty in the process and I feel like more people should hear about the journey.
