5 Money Saving Habits You Should Use

March 30, 2018 by cnkstylebook 4 Comments
Money-Saving-Habits

Reverse Your  Thinking:

Most people can relate to the cycle of getting your paycheck, treating yourself, paying your bills, and then saving what is left of your money. What if all you need to do to be closer to your money saving habits is to flip your thinking? Instead, people should envision their financial goals, pay their bills and then spend what is left of that money. Money saving and building wealth is all about discipline, strategy, and creating mind tricks that can entice you towards choosing the smarter option.

Save For Where You Envision Yourself:

Many financial experts would advise to have a 5 year plan in mind where you create attainable smaller money goals in order to reach a larger goal. An example of this strategy is saving 6 months of income till you have enough to move to a new location.

Pay Debt Down With Extra Money:

The most essential part about creating wealth is eliminating debt. As a millennial, I understand the struggle of dealing with a huge load of loan debt that may feel crushing. However, paying off loan debt can be a reality if you are strategic. This can be done with any bonuses, cash gifts, tax refunds, or any extra money that comes your way.

Put Your Money On Automatic:

Setting up automatic payments, savings, and investment contributions is a great way to leave room for other money habits. This is a great habit to form as you can easily have all your finances taken care of without much struggle or thought.

Meal Plan:

Food can easily become an expensive affair if not planned and budgeted. Set aside a meal budget and cook or prepare your meals to bring for lunch. Cutting out the expense of purchasing lunch can save you a lot of money and even force you to pick, cook and eat healthier options.

Why You Should Use Pinterest To Boost Your Traffic

March 1, 2018 by cnkstylebook 3 Comments
Cnkstylebook Pinterest Board

Pinterest currently has 200 million monthly active users. This fact alone is the reason why you should integrate a Pinterest strategy into driving new users and impressions to your site. Pinterest would further help you increase your brand footprint because Google will place Pinterest boards high up in Google searches which means that if you are strategic then you can increase visibility to your blog posts. Currently, I am in the process of creating a strategic Pintrest account for my blog and have learned and researched a lot of ways that people create strategic boards that drive traffic.

Here are a few ways that you can start building a brand Pinterest strategy:

Create a Blog Board

Creating a blog board will make it easier for new people to specifically find your blog post and even follow your board for new content. Make the title of your Pinterest Blog Board the same as your blog page title. Also, utilizing keywords in the title of your boards will make it more likely to show up in search results.

Use Strategy In Your Board Design, Themes, and Pins

If you are the type to just Pin everything and anything stop right there. Think about the topics and the things that you write about on your blog and create boards that align with your topics, brand and lifestyle. In the design of your boards you can also even look into creating board covers that align with your blog’s brand. It is also essential to pin a mixture of content and ensure that you link it back to your site.

Quality Images

Just like any visual social media platform, quality images are important. Higher quality pins will receive more re-pins. Also, statistics show that long pins get more re-pins so creating info graphics are also a great way to create brand awareness.

Be Active On Pinterest

On any kind of social platform it is important to engage and in addition engage with your readers. A few ways that you can engage with your followers on Pinterest is to pin relevant and original content, pin consistently, follow back, ask questions that can be answered to your blog, like and comment on great pins, and re-pin as much as you can re-pin.

Include a Pin It Button On Your Blog

Including this pin is essential and will make it easy for your readers to share your content and effectively increase your brand awareness.

3 Ways The Tax Bill Will Affect Bosses of 2018

January 10, 2018 by cnkstylebook No Comments
One thing that is apparent is that if you own a small business, are self-employed, or just a single filer than you should expect a huge tax increase.

The 500-page tax bill made large, sweeping adjustments that can affect you business and hustle down the line. In order to prepare, you may need to shift some things around or make some changes to ensure that you don’t lose a lot more than you need to lose. Since the tax bill is here, the best thing that we can do is to try to figure out a way to outsmart it.

Here are 3 ways that the tax bill will affect your hustle and what you can do to outsmart the system:

Boss Inc.

Everyone knows at this point that the corporations will get the biggest break with taxes by going from a 35% tax rate to a 21% tax rate. This rate will largely effect startups and freelance bosses. It is with this in mind that startup and freelance bosses should start thinking about themselves and their expenses instead of claiming freelance money.

Non-Profits

Unfortunately, Non-profits will be hit hard. The new law will make deductions for charitable donations non-existent. This means that if you donate to a charity of your choice you can no longer claim that deduction. This mandate will hurt the for-profit businesses that have given large amounts to non-profits and the non-profits that have relied on big donations to keep running. The only way to out smart this change will be for the non-profits to consider a different structure.

S Corps

As we have established previously, the corps get the biggest tax breaks. In 2017, S-Corp bosses were seen as a pass through business that included partnerships, limited liability companies, and sole proprietorships. Pass through businesses could pass their income to their owners who pay taxes at the individual rate. Now, owners can only apply a 20% deduction to their business income. A tax break is probably the reason you decided to become an S Corp but with the changes maybe it’s time to consider becoming a C corp.
