Consistency and Getting What You Deserve

Since the inception of my blog till now it has truly been a process. Everyday and every week I have been learning about different things I should be doing, not doing and what I need to do in order to reach optimal performance and optimal visibility. There are so many things to be learned in this path towards fulfilling a passion that sometimes it can feel overwhelming. It can really feel like the distance from where you are now to your end goal is too vast of a path to cross. However, as I look back from where I started to where I am now I can attest to the fact that little steps, consistency, and faith can bring you closer to your goals and what you may want out of life.

During your path towards fulfillment you also feel so fed up with not getting what you want that you start to make concessions and accepting things that you know are beneath your level of skill or that you know does not align with your goals or your vision. If this is you then you are in fact settling. You know that you deserve better and the only way you will be able to reach the next level is if you get rid of the fear and accept your place at the top. You are capable, you are hardworking and you deserve everything that you have been working hard to achieve. I think that sometimes people hinder their success because they don’t feel like they deserve the next level and then they begin to ask for things that do not align and then the end result is misalignment. Consistency in this journey towards alignment is essential! Continually work and place yourself towards the vision that you envision for your life, stay faithful, and eventually you will experience a positive result!

Why Emulating Success Is Important

March 6, 2018 by cnkstylebook No Comments
Lookbook WTC
I think an important lesson to learn as a creative and an entrepreneur is to stop needing and start doing. Many people with dreams and goals fail to progress because they wait for others to give them an avenue or give them that big “break”. What happens is you end up working harder to impress someone else to give you an inch and you fail to realize your power. Instead of working harder why not work smarter and create your own way. The first step to creating your own way is to have a GAME PLAN. Utilize your vision board, your journal or your bathroom mirror to write down daily goals and affirmations. Create easy, attainable goals per day that can be completed by the end of the day and make PROGRESS.

Emulating how successful people move is also a great way to achieve similar results. For example, if you see somebody in a top position and you note that they walk with confidence and work strategically versus harder than maybe it’s time to ask the right questions and change your process. Success also does not happen overnight but if you are consistent, strategic, and not just goal oriented but a goal achiever than there is more of a possibility of you seeing success in your life. Acknowledge your light and never dim your light for anyone. Be able to see and visualize yourself in the right positions and soon you will begin to actually be in those positions.

Also, remember that life is a journey and that there is no wisdom without knowledge. Strive to continually learn and better yourself. Eventually, you can become a source of knowledge and people will begin to look to you for instruction. Step into yourself, step into your purpose and never dim your light.

A Love Letter

February 15, 2018 by cnkstylebook No Comments
Comfort

Do you ever feel sometimes like you can’t get up another day and do another thing? Do you feel mentally and creatively blocked and all you want to do is go to sleep? If this is you and you’ve said yes to both of these questions then maybe it is time to disconnect and reconnect.

In this season of love it’s usually the time where we remember to share and express appreciation for our loved ones but it may also be a good time to express love to your self. If you’re like me you will always want to be working on something or doing something that can push you towards your end goals. You will always want to be thinking of the next big thing or the next project. If you are always going, going, going, YOU WILL burn out if you don’t take time to love yourself. Appreciate the hard work you have done, appreciate the projects you have completed, admire your work ethic and simply disconnect.

Take a day or a weekend and schedule out your week in advance so that for the week and the weekend you can completely take stock of your self-care. Pamper yourself and get a facial or a massage, watch your favorite TV shows or go see the latest Black Panther movie coming out on February 16th, get immersed in a book, sleep and completely disconnect from social media and focus on relaxed and fun activities. Recharge and restore your mind and your body because burnout is real and you will never be able to perform optimally and be the best version of yourself if you forget about yourself.

The Reason Why You Need A Vision Board and How To Create One

January 5, 2018 by cnkstylebook 1 Comment
Many people don’t take out the time to envision their 2018 and having a focus is important. Ask yourself key questions about where you want to be and what will make you happy in 2018. There is a long list of things that can be envisioned in your life, which can include your career, your relationships, skills that you want to gain or places that you want to go in life. One key benefit of vision boards is that creating a space and a visual representation of where you see yourself can help bring it to life.

Visualization is a powerful exercise and the power of a person’s thoughts and mind can take you farther than you can possibly imagine. According to a popular book The Secret,

The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency into the Universe.

One major rule about vision boards is that essentially there are no rules. Vision boards can reflect a way that you want to feel throughout 2018, they can be goal oriented and filled with images of things you want to accomplish or they could just be filled with positive notes and images that inspire you on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter as long as you are creating a positive impact on your life by inserting direction and positivity in you thoughts on a daily basis.

Here is how I would create a goal-oriented vision board:

Step 1: Create a list of areas in your life that important to you to fulfill in 2018

Take out time, set the mood, and let your stream of consciousness reflect your deepest desire unto paper

Step 2: Collect magazines that you love or images from Pinterest that are a visual representation of your goals.

Step 3: Map out your images on your poster before taping or gluing it down.

Step 4: Find a place on your wall that you see everyday.

Comment down below if you have envisioned your year before by vision board or if you have made one for 2018!
